Built in 1997, Harmony Hill Bed and Breakfast provides guests and the innkeepers a comfortable and relaxing abode in the middle of Virginia wine country.
The first floor has a spacious living room with a fireplace and an adjoining sun room with windows on three sides. There is a dining room, a very workable kitchen and pantry, a guest room, the innkeepers’ quarters, a laundry, and an office.
The second level has four comfortable guest rooms, two with large showers and two with whirlpool tubs. There is also a laundry and abundant storage on this level. The basement level is heated and air conditioned, but unfinished. It provides light and airy space for storage, a workshop, and/or additional space for innkeepers’ quarters. This level has a walk-out entrance for convenience.
There is a cozy front porch where guests can view the countryside. The innkeepers have a private deck to enjoy which is accessed from the kitchen/pantry. There are two streams on the property and walking trails for the outdoor enthusiasts.
Harmony Hill is located in Nelson County, Virginia mid-way between the cities of Charlottesville and Lynchburg. Although convenient to busy Route 29, Harmony Hill is secluded and quiet. Nelson County is very tourism oriented (see www.nelsoncounty.com) and there are many activities for guests to enjoy. In addition to the numerous wineries close by, there is Sweetbriar College, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wintergreen Resort, Popular Forest, and Crabtree Falls. Jefferson’s Monticello and the University of Virginia are in nearby Charlottesville, Virginia.
